Enhancing Fire Resistance

Fire safety is a top priority at Fibro Rock Egypt. We focus on improving the fire resistance of FIBROCK WOOL and developing innovative solutions that ensure maximum safety. Our R&D team continually works to enhance the ability of our products to withstand high temperatures, making FIBROCK products ideal for insulation in high-risk residential and industrial buildings.

At Fibro Rock Egypt

We take great pride in producing our high-quality FIBROCK products using a cutting-edge manufacturing process. This process is meticulously designed to ensure maximum efficiency, sustainability, and product performance, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and adherence to the highest industry standards.

A

Raw Material Selection

The foundation of FIBROCK begins with selecting natural and sustainable raw materials. Our FIBROCK Wool is derived from volcanic rock, primarily basalt, which is abundant and renewable. Basalt’s natural properties make it ideal for producing insulation due to its excellent heat resistance, durability, and sound-absorbing capabilities.

B

Melting the Rock

The first major step in the manufacturing process is melting the basalt rock. The raw materials are heated in a high-temperature furnace. This process mimics volcanic activity, where the basalt is transformed into molten lava. At this stage, other additives may be introduced to enhance specific product characteristics, such as improved fire resistance or mechanical strength.

C

Fiber Formation

Once the rock is in its molten state, it is rapidly cooled and spun into fibers using a spinning machine, much like how cotton candy is made. As the molten basalt is forced through spinning wheels at high speeds, it is stretched into fine fibers, forming FIBROCK WOOL. These fibers are naturally fire-resistant, provide excellent insulation, and offer superior soundproofing capabilities.

D

Binding and Collecting Fibers

The fibers formed from the molten rock are collected and sprayed with a binder, which helps bind the fibers together and improve their structural integrity. This binder is essential for ensuring the stability and durability of the final product. After the binding process, the fibers are collected and ready for further processing into the desired thickness, density, and form.

E

Curing Process

The binder-coated FIBROCK products are then passed through a curing oven, heated to set the binder, and solidified into their final form. This process also ensures that FIBROCK WOOL maintains its thermal and acoustic properties. The curing step is critical for stabilizing the insulation’s shape and preparing it for various applications.

F

Cutting and Shaping

Once the curing process is complete, the FIBROCK WOOL is cut into the required sizes and shapes. Depending on the specific product line, FIBROCK may be cut into boards, rolls, or pipe insulation. We offer a wide range of densities and thicknesses to meet the varied needs of our customers in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

G

Facings Application (Optional)

FIBROCK products are given additional facings to enhance their performance for some applications.

These facings are applied during the final stages of manufacturing based on the specific requirements of each project or customer.

H

Quality Control and Testing

At Fibro Rock Egypt, we are committed to maintaining the highest quality standards. Our production process includes rigorous quality control measures at every stage of manufacturing. Each batch of FIBROCK undergoes comprehensive testing to ensure it meets or exceeds industry standards for thermal insulation, fire resistance, and soundproofing. This includes tests for durability, density, and dimensional accuracy.

I

Packaging and Distribution

Once the quality control process is complete, the finished FIBROCK products are carefully packaged to protect them during transportation. From our factory, FIBROCK products are distributed to customers across various industries, ensuring timely delivery and top-quality service.
